History

The Miles Management Company is proud to be part of the IHOP family. The company was founded back in 1986 when the first Ventura County IHOP restaurant opened its doors in Oxnard, California. Michael Miles had the vision to bring IHOP to his community. He was joined in 1995 by Don Gordon who took on the role of Vice President of Operations. Don and Mike expanded out of the area and into Anchorage, Alaska in 2002. The company has since grown to a total of twelve locations. 2014 was filled with sadness due to the passing of Mike Miles. Don Gordon continues on as owner and President of the organization.

It is with great pleasure that our IHOP team continues to improve and inspire future generations to come. Our continued mission is to provide our guests with quality family dining. We are committed to constant improvement of our company, our management team and our staff. The future is very bright for IHOP and the communities that we serve. We want each guest to have a personable dining experience with us and we go to great lengths to ensure each visitor receives prompt, professional service in a timely and courteous fashion. In this regard, we provide cooperative and rewarding opportunities to those who work with us, and encourage long-term, satisfying, growth employment. Finally, we provide competitive prices and offer traditional IHOP favorites for our guests, as well as some tasty low-calorie choices and upcoming new products!
